NYC Fashion Week 2010 Trend Report For the Home

Another day, another show, another trend. The colorful contemporary house, Tibi, did not disappoint this season, showing colorful florals against a stark white backdrop. Tibi designer,Amy Smilovic began her foray in designing shortly after moving to Hong Kong in 1997. Ever since she started her line we have seen that asian-pastoral influence reflected in her very wearable New York City style.

As we saw in DVF’s collection, designers are playing it fiscally safe by sticking to one primary color and adding on. Keeping with Tibi’s color palette, white was the base for which the pops of lime and pink were added in the room look I created. (see below)

One of my favorite designers, Erin Fetherston did not disappoint either for her Spring 2010 collection. She used a strict color scheme of neutral to peachy, pink to cornflower blue to midnight navy/black.

It was simply gorgeooooues and with her playful heart and bow accents it reminded me of the perfect bedroom for your teeny-bopper. Banish the Miley pictures and add some worldly, let precious accents to your daughter’s room.Erin Fetherston Room
