Wednesday night the New York sky line got a little brighter with the annual Christmas Tree lighting in Rockefeller Center. 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski and Chuck's Zachary Levi hosted the star studded affair where the adorable Michael Buble, The Roots and Aretha Franklin preformed. Over 30,000 people joined in the celebration and millions more tuned in at home. Although the affair is a time honored tradition it pales in comparison to the amount of fun trimming your own tree with your family can be.
This year the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is the
"greenest" its ever been: the tree has been replaced with energy efficient bulbs and is being powered by 363 solar panels placed atop the Roc Center building. Afterwards the tree is being used to build houses for those in need; it really does embody the Holiday spirit. Keeping in this green tradition
