Gyspet Fashions A Plenty at The Chanel Cruise 2011 Show in St. Tropez

The stars were out last night to celebrate one of Karl Lagerfeld's last collections as Chanel's Creative director, the Cruise 2011 collection.

Fellow German Diane Kruger showed up in a thigh grazing black sequined mini.

Girl about town Elisa Sednaoui looked ready to walk down the runway in her boho-chic mini.

Chanel cover girl (and Johnny Depp's partner) Vanessa Paradis kept it tres chic in black and white.

The theme of the night was boho glam as models walked mostly barefoot down a shady boardwalk.  For a haute couture line like Chanel the pieces were unbelievably wearable, sellable and most importantly, lovable.  Each piece represents gypset fashions to its fullest with billowy silhouettes, bright florals and luxurious accoutrements.

This macramé/fish net ensemble was made for St. Tropez

There was a strong 70's feel to this collection, as evident in this floppy straw hat.  Love the puffed sleeves on this otherwise classic summer shirtdress.
How about an teeny-weeny pink gingham bikini? This flirty swimsuit reminds us of the cute sunscreen ads where the dog nips at the girl's bottoms; its girlie and young but when paired with stands of "CC" necklaces and those killer gladiator flats... its undeniably high end.

Okay, I'll take two of this. Lagerfeld and his team played with a summer-weight boucle, literally a cooler take on the brand's favorite fabric.  This pink gingham dress is perfect to bring you into the night.

Towards the end the collection was high on glamour and glitz. This drop-waist dress has metallic accents that correspond beautifully with the jacket, which also has the netting effect

A truly timeless look and that obi belt is ohhh so flattering.

The little white suit gets an overhaul.

What an amazing summer gown, perfect for a black tie in the heat.

Over-the-knee boots seem so autumn, but paired with the short skirt and lightweight top this is a perfect outfit for cooler nights.

The hemlines were anything but modest at this show, but still, you wouldn't see Lady Gaga in this look.

Va-va couture!

What a way to end a show; a handsome man on a bike. {We'd be grinning ear to ear if we were this girl too}  We've already given you a look inside Coco Chanel's legendary apartment and a taste of what gypset style is, but here is a closer look at the epicenter of it all, the beach town of St. Tropez.
St. Tropez has historically been a playground for Europe's wealthiest and most fashionable, luring them with white sands, clear water, exceptional night life and phenomenal shopping.  Cruise collections have been, and are, crafted with this sunny harbor in mind.

Hellooooo gorgeous!
St. Tropez is THE destination for celebrities. Kate Moss, Beyonce, Jay-Z and others count the haunt as one of their favorite retreats.
Day or night the harbor is alive with revelers drinking and eating and taking in the scene.
Club 55 is a favorite beach club among celebrities and locals alike.  Its iconic nautical light blue and white design is seen throughout, mimicking the sea and sand that surrounds the historic club.

Don't mind if we do pull our yacht up to the shore and grab a drink... or two.
A great picture of the architecture surrounding the harbor.  So, have you bought your tickets yet?  If traveling to St. Tropez is not likely for you this summer, you can always bring some seaside glamour into your home's decor by visiting our retail site, The Well Appointed House.  Nautical influences are huge throughout this harborside city.  We love this fun Titanic mirror, great for a little boy's room or as an eclectic accent.
Wrap yourself in the ultimate in luxury, just as all the locals do, with this St. Tropez cashmere throw.
Things are bound to get wild at night on the city streets of St. Tropez, but why not show your wild side at home in these uber-luxe cashmere zebra pillows.
Dress your walls with a collection of yacht photographs from famed photographer Ben Wood.  This set will make you feel as though you are looking out onto the french horizon no matter where you are landlocked.
And now until Friday you can save 20% off site-wide, meaning you can get the high-life look for a little bit less.
