Screenspiration: Sex And The City Two

I was among true blue fans who attended the midnight showing of Sex and the City Thursday morning and none of the hundreds of us were disappointed. The fashions were amazing, which goes without saying, but when Carrie told a sales lady she had been "cheating on fashion with furniture" everyone know the decor was going to steal the show.  After Carrie and Big sold their penthouse in the sky they moved a few floors down but isn't exactly something we could call a "downgrade."
Their apartment is fun, fresh and modern.   The interiors were designed by set designer and interior designer Lydia Marks who did a close reading of the script in order to bring the words to life.  Marks told the Huffington Post she wanted to decorate the apartment "as if Carrie (and her decorator) chose the pieces, but with Big very much in mind. It was designed to be a place where he would be comfortable."
Ahh! That closet!!

The beauty of Mark's designs is that the apartment looks so lived in and functional, even though it is a set.  Our high back deco chairs look like they would be perfect around that table.

The lighting in the apartment was particularly impressive.  Get the look with our circle mirrored pendant and bubbles chrome lighting fixture.

The couch was its own character in the movie as the two struggled to find themselves in their marriage.
For those of you who were also devotees of the show you may have a pang for Carrie's old west village studio.  Well, it made a guest appearance in the sequel looking great with the makeover it received in the first movie.
Get the look with our round mirrored tile side table, which looks so close to the one pictured we're wondering if its the same one?
Handmade in the USA, the artisan will work with you to customize the table so you can get it to look as close to Carrie's as you want or don't want.  Our white Angelica lamp is also reminiscent of the one shown.

Want to know what's inside? Of course you do, check it out here and step inside Carrie's closet.

Our cashmere love pillows would look great on her bed, inspired by the "love" painting she has hanging.
The girls leave the island of Manhattan to stir up some trouble abroad in the uber glamourous and extravagant Abu Dhabi.  When Samantha said "I can hear the decadence calling.".. she wasn't kidding.
We can thank writer and director Michael Patrick King for the strong showing of Moroccan inspired pieces hitting the stores these days.  The lavish hotel reminds us a lot of the La Mamonia Hotel, which recently reopened last October.

The ladies stayed in a suite, which ran a bill of 22,000 dollars a day! Now that's some haute living.
Throughout the movie SJP wore a lot from Halston Heritage Collection, which she has recently been appointed as President.  Here are little preview of the pieces she wore in the movie:
