Oscar de la Renta for Lee Jofa- Cue The Screams

Last night Elle Decor celebrated the ULTIMATE collaboration between Lee Jofa and Oscar de la Renta at his Madison Avenue boutique.

Oscar de la Renta is one of the most prestigious designers in the world, a title he’s earned by creating timeless pieces with classic lines that capture what it means to be a woman.  Women feel as they should in his designs: elegant, beautiful and refined, so what of his collection of fabrics for one of the premier fabric houses? Elegant, beautiful and refined. Take a look at the pictures from the Oscar de la Renta Facebook page.

Fashion and home decor collide in this display where actual Oscar jewelry and fashions were displayed intermittently with the other fabric samples.

Really want to see what that red dress is all about!

Miles Redd, interior designer and Creative Director for Oscar de la Renta Home, got his hands on organizing the display.

Elle Decor was a sponsor of the event and did a great profile of the designer and preview of his designs.

The line is full of textures, patterns and lots of colors, which shouldn’t be a surprise based on his fashion design aesthetic.  If you are interested in purchasing any of the fabrics you see here or want to see more, please contact us for more information.

This has been a busy two weeks for Oscar, who debuted his Resort 2011 last Monday in New York.  Although the top editors and buyers converged to watch the models walk the runway, the designer got ahead of the times and live streamed his show through Facebook, a trend we’d like to see this upcoming fashion week.  It’s always a challenge selecting just a few looks to share with everyone, but after clicking through all fifty-five looks multiple times here are some that relate to the fabrics shown above.  You can view the entire collection here on Style.com.

The collection looked as though a New York City girl picked up and ran off to the French Riviera for the summer.

The print above on the right has a worldly feel, a lot like many of the samples from the Lee Jofa line.  The print on the right has a “this needs to be in my closet” feel.

These amazing cocktail dresses were the perfect prelude to what came after…

 BOOM!
…And BANG!
The ultimate couture creations from the ultimate couturier.  Oscar de la Renta will forever be ingrained in the fashion world as an industry standard, so we shall all have to wait and see if this adventure in interiors is a one time collaboration or the start of something groundbreaking. Recently, Diane von Furstenberg announced she’s getting into the decorating game, debuting a collection of bedding, bath and tabletop products in January.  Could we be seeing more fashion heavyweights following suit? Tory? Marc? Please?!
