Summer, July 4th and Beach House Decor

Summer 2010 is here!  The warm, muggy weather has arrived, kids are out of school, camps have started and invitations to barbecues, pool parties, and summer soirees are in the mail.  With July 4th just a few weeks away, now is the time to visit The Well Appointed House to stock up on some fabulous beach and nautical inspired gifts that are perfect to give your hosts and hostesses this holiday weekend.  Whether you are heading to Nantucket, the Vineyard or the Hamptons…or are going to a neighbor’s pool party…it is always nice to arrive with something special in hand.   Here are a few of my personal favorites below:

Our friends at Country Living never fail to put me in the mood for my favorite summer holiday and they have some fun filled decorating ideas sure to bring a patriotic feel to the 4th this year:

My family loves July 4th (my husband and I were married July 4th weekend) and so we always make it a point to be festive and celebrate! Here I am last summer en route to the Southampton July 4th parade with my husband and three kids:

I have written previous posts on Nantucket and other summer spots and here are a few fun pictures for your browsing enjoyment.  With July 4th on my mind, I can’t help but think about lobster bakes, sparklers, summer fun…and of course, beautifully decorated summer inspired homes!
