I have had a lot of fun connecting with other bloggers over the past few months and I am excited to say that Tamara Matthews-Stephenson of Nest by Tamara will be guest blogging for us on Monday! Tamara is an interior designer living in Manhattan and has become quite a design blogger by posting her musings from an interior designer's perspective. Her blog was mentioned by HGTV as one of their favorite design blogs and she is followed by former House & Garden Editor in Chief Dominique Browning. Tamara is very involved in the blogging community and has attended blogging luncheons coordinated by HGTV and she was named along with others as "The New Curators" by the New York Design Center. This past Fall, Tamara helped the Shelterpop and Gilt websites by curating a sample sale.
The award winning faucet company, Brizo, and fashion designer Jason Wu (I attended his show last Fall and love his designs!) sponsored Tamara and 19 other design bloggers in NYC during Fashion Week for a design challenge. Tamara learned about biomimicry in design and the event attendees were separated into teams and asked to compete in designing a bathroom. Tamara's team won the competition! Afterward, they attended Jason's fashion show and Tamara will be telling our readers about her experiences with Brizo and Jason Wu on Monday. Stay tuned!
