Those of you who are regular readers will know that last week, I hosted the first Leifsdottir trunk show at my home in Greenwich.  You can read about the event here.  The evening was planned to celebrate the launch of the new Leifsdottir line of shoes, which has been hitting high-end stores across the country.  The ready-to-wear collection is now carried by stores like Bergdorf Goodman and I am a big fan of the line.  


The new shoe collection is wearable with a shape and style for everyone!  The heel sizes vary for those of us that are seeking height as well as for those of us already on the tall side who are looking for something in the 2" or less range (like me).  When it comes to designer shoes, the devil is in the details and its the details that translate to sales.   With accoutrements like snakeskin, feathers, braided leather, and grosgrain bows - women ranging from girly-girls to gossip girls will find something to love from the new Leifsdottir line. There are Lanvin-like ballerina flats for the chic-prepster-mom-on-the-go with her iPad in one hand and baby in the other:

There are platform wedges and high heels suitable for every taste.   The collection has truly achieved wide appeal and my sources tell me that the line is selling out.

The shoes have just arrived at Bloomingdales, with three days of festivities marking their arrival.  Artist Merijn Hos has put up an installation in the windows of the Third Avenue store.  I hear that designer Johanna Uurasjarvi will be making an appearance there Thursday night.
