New Year’s Eve is tomorrow night! Whether you are planning a big night out or a cozy evening at home with kids, it’s always fun to get festive when ringing in the New Year. Here are a few ideas to inspire your NYE preparations! Our friends at Party City have some fun glasses, sweets, tinsel and confetti to kick off 2014 in style! If you don’t have a grand style plan, you can always run out and bring colorful sweets and glasses into your decor.
Mini clock faces can be made with white fondant and edible ink! I love these!
This is another fun idea – glitter bomb your glassware! Buy spray adhesive and then sprinkle glitter on your glasses – or even plastic glassware if you want to toss it after your big party!
Party City also has these fabulous 2014 balloons! Perfect for any NYE celebration!
My favorite tabletop idea is to utilize clock plates in the New Year’s Eve table setting. Ralph Lauren used to make these fabulous clock plates, but they are no longer sold through their website directly. You can find them online through antique shops and other resellers. Pottery Barn also had some fabulous clock plates but the most inexpensive idea is to go online, GOOGLE “clock face template” and print a few fun ones and cut them to size. (You may need to enlarge them to fit a standard plate size). Purchase some plain glass plates or chargers and place the clock faces underneath for a fun look! This one is from Fabiana over at Ciao! Another fun idea is to incorporate sparklers in dessert when it’s served! Shortly before midnight of course!
By far the COOLEST idea I have seen today is the Do-It-Yourself Sequin Photobooth idea from the Oh Happy Day blog- click here for the complete “how to”:
If you have time to do this photo booth idea, head over to the Old Market Etsy Shop for some super fun printable New Year’s Eve Photo Booth props – all made just for 2014! No need to wait for them to arrive, you can print from your printer on heavier stock paper. Visit them for details.
Here is another fun Do-It-Yourself idea – if you don’t like the party hats you are seeing at your local party supply store, make super chic party hats with glitter and headbands! Think Kate Middleton on New Year’s Eve! Your very own New Year’s fascinator! Kelly Lanza over at Studio DIY has the complete “how to”!
