Sunday, March 2nd was an evening to remember — not only because it was Oscar night — but because the Greenwich International Film Festival launched its debut event here in Greenwich, CT. My good friends Colleen Deveer, Carina Crain and Wendy Stapleton Reyes in little under a year have founded the film festival, which will officially launch next year – and Oscar night was the perfect way to kick off what is sure to be a fantastic organization here in Greenwich. As if the evening wasn’t fabulous enough complete with the red carpet filled with friends dressed in Hollywood Chic designers ranging from Gucci to Alexander McQueen, the scene at the party was as Vanity Fair as it gets. Moet and Chandon was a sponsor and old time cigarette girls passed out champagne bottle flutes and e-cigarettes. Tea lights shimmered while five-tiered trays of hors d’ouerves were passed and glasses were raised as our favorite Hollywood A-listers danced across big screens throughout the party. It was a taste of Hollywod in Greenwich – a step back in time complete with modern glitz and glam. It was the perfect way to celebrate the 86th Annual Academy Awards here on the East coast. Take a look below for some highlights of the evening!
If you couldn’t attend this year’s Oscar night, be sure to come next year! Stay tuned for GIFF events! Photography by Patrick McMullen and Chi Chi Ubina.
