Since Fall has arrived (where did summer go?!) and that crisp leafy smell is in the air, my cravings for walks in the woods wearing Wellies and fleeces have set in. Soon I’ll put out my autumn wreaths and mums and my kids will start clamouring for pumpkins to carve. It’s not a bad time of year! The Fall season invokes thoughts of the woods and faux bois goods for outdoors — whether they be faux bois outdoor furniture, planters or even fencing. There is a great faux bois fence that I love at the Tuckers Point resort in Bermuda, where I spend a lot of time. If you aren’t familiar with Faux Bois (“false wood”), it’s the art of creating furniture and decorative items made to look like real wood by shaping concrete over mesh. Here are a few examples:
