Craving Richard Ginori’s Oriente Italiano Collection

How fabulous is the Richard Ginori Oriente Italiano collection? The company was once known as the Doccia Porcelain Manufactory at Doccia (near Florence) and was founded in 1735 by marchese Carlo Ginori.  The company was renamed  Richard Ginori after it merged with the Societa Richard of Milan.  Gucci purchased the company in 2013.  I’m loving the Oriente Italiano collection – which is known as the “carnation” pattern in the Florentine ceramic tradition, and was reinterpreted by Gio Ponti in 1946.   The stylized flower of the collection comes in cotton candy colors as various china and serving pieces and beautiful home accents such as vases  and trays.  The color patterns please the eye, that’s for sure!
