TWAH: How did you first get into the field of interior design?
BB: I was a fashion intern in Florence, Italy, and realized that although I loved the creative aspect, the culture was not for me. It was too cut-throat and flighty. When I started to consider interior design, I realized it was really where I belonged. It's more personal and one-on-one with clientele, as well as gives me the opportunity to create something more concrete and lasting. I wanted to get to know people and how they live, and then create something that they love coming home to.
TWAH: How/where do you source the majority of your design projects (design centers, online..)?
BB: My go-to is always 1stdibs - the online marketplace for antiques. It might seem like an obvious choice, but is so necessary for my day-to-day business. The best part of the 1stdibs website is their search function. I can always find exactly what I am looking for.
And then there's Holland & Sherry. I love all of their lines – they always have the perfect colors when searching for fabric.
TWAH: What is one unexpected design tip or source that most people don’t know about?
BB: Scale. Scale. Scale. I can walk into a room and know immediately if someone with a trained eye has worked within the space. No matter the object or piece of furniture, if the scale is off, then the room is off. Always map it out in the room – once you see it you’ll know!
TWAH: What are 5 products on our website that you love?

TWAH: What is your favorite room in the house to decorate?

TWAH: Do you have any predictions for colors or trends that will be big in 2018?
BB: I think we are stepping away from gray and entering a world of color. We need it right now more than ever.
TWAH: What is your favorite aspect of interior design?
BB: Getting to know the clients and unlocking their true vision to make their house a home. It’s hard to walk away from a house once installed, I must admit – I want to come back for Christmas! ☺
