Back in 2013, I posted a three part garden tour series on the Greenwich Garden Tour. If you are curious, you can read the first part here and the third part here. The second part was amazing! I wrote about my tour of Fred Landman's house - Sleepy Cat Farm - which is about a five minute drive from my house in Greenwich. Our town has many beautiful homes and gardens, but Fred's is on a different level! You can see that garden tour here. It's worth a read, trust me! The Greenwich Historical Society, which I have been involved with for years, had a reception at Fred's home earlier this week and Fred gave us an up close and personal tour of his gardens. He has such a love for gardening, it's truly contagious when you are with him. To watch his joy and delight as he proudly shows off his gardens is worth the trip over, Fred is wealth of knowledge if you love gardening as much as I do. It was an evening well spent! He told me about the day that our Bedford neighbor Martha Stewart popped over for a late afternoon tour of his gardens with her pen and notebook in hand. He said that she took lots of notes!
