Back in 2013, I posted a three part garden tour series on the Greenwich Garden Tour. If you are curious, you can read the first part here and the third part here. The second part was amazing! I wrote about my tour of Fred Landman's house - Sleepy Cat Farm - which is about a five minute drive from my house in Greenwich. Our town has many beautiful homes and gardens, but Fred's is on a different level! You can see that garden tour here. It's worth a read, trust me! The Greenwich Historical Society, which I have been involved with for years, had a reception at Fred's home earlier this week and Fred gave us an up close and personal tour of his gardens. He has such a love for gardening, it's truly contagious when you are with him. To watch his joy and delight as he proudly shows off his gardens is worth the trip over, Fred is wealth of knowledge if you love gardening as much as I do. It was an evening well spent! He told me about the day that our Bedford neighbor Martha Stewart popped over for a late afternoon tour of his gardens with her pen and notebook in hand. He said that she took lots of notes! Fred also has a new website for his home and gardens - check it out here!

Come along with me and catch a glimpse of his gardens- you can tour along with me vicariously!

If you want to see his main house, check out the blog post mentioned above. I didn't include a repeat of his house photos. Here are the garden photos I took this week:

A view of his guest house

This is the outbuilding he stores his orange and fig trees in during the winter

That's Fred telling us about a Spirit Walk he has on his property

My mother enjoyed Fred's gardens as much as I did!

Fred has a book coming out in October! I can't wait to get my hands on it!
