Tomorrow wraps up an intense but inspiring couple of days at the New York International Gift Fair. As great as it was to see a lot of new vendors it was also great to see some new life breathed into our old tried and true brands. After walking up and down the aisles it was time to sit down, decompress, dump out our VERY full bags and look at our pictures. Currently we are sifting through all our materials to find the best of the best to introduce through The Well Appointed House. Heres a little sampling of what to come. As Melissa Hawks wrote earlier, all that’s British is gold for the upcoming season and while we do love the Brits they weren’t the only country representing at the gift fair.
Even just a little accent of some of these prints in a pillow or small chair form can transform your space; bringing in cultural influences to your decor gives a worldly, well traveled feel.
Details in unexpected places, like the knobs on that chest and the etching throughout the tin chair add character. It will look as though you have journeyed far and wide scouring flea markets to find the perfect piece for your room.
When it comes to looking for new lighting fixtures, chandeliers and lamps we really try to find artful conversation pieces you can’t get anywhere else, which is why we were so happy to see a lot of skilled artisans trying their hands at lighting.
From traditional to modern there was something for everyone when it came to lighting.
Ultra girly, these pieces can work for a little girls room, a teeny bopper or the ultimate bachelorette pad.
We could not get enough of these vintage circus themed accessories, ideal for a playroom. They are fun and whimsical yet they still keep your home’s overall decor elevated.
It was also nice to see some of the products we already carry still very much part of the trends like our Trina Turk collection.
A goal for the upcoming new year is to grow our organic and eco-friendly collection and with products this cute it shouldn’t be too hard.
