Welcome Jenny Levin! Former Senior Fashion Editor of Harper’s Bazaar To Be a Contributing Editor

I am pleased to announce that we have a new blogger in the house!
A very Well Appointed House, that is…

Jenny Levin will be a Contributing Editor to The Well Appointed House blog.  She is the former Senior Fashion News editor of Harper’s Bazaar and the author of Harper’s Bazaar Great Style.

She lives in Connecticut with her husband and three delightful daughters.  Jenny and I met at a “Summer Soiree” last summer and quickly had plenty to chat about, each raising three young children in the city suburbs with similar career and lifestyle interests.

When she arrived at a small New Year’s Eve gathering that I co-hosted with a friend she presented me with a small gift, wrapped in beautiful paper.  As I opened this little treasure and saw that it was the Encyclopedia of the Exquisite, I felt that it was a moment of “kismat” and I knew then that I had found a kindred spirit!

After all, this fabulously elegant encylopedia (with a beautifully engraved dust jacket), written by Jessica Kerwin Jenkins is “An Anecdotal History of Elegant Delights”.  It is a little jewel box of a book filled with curiosities and wonders and takes its cue from exotic books of the 16th century.  With commentaries by Michael Kors, Sarah Jessica Parker and Tory Burch I was instantly intrigued and the book now has a spot on my nightstand.   It was the perfect gift and I knew a fun collaboration could be in the works!
Jenny’s eye for style both on the runway and in the home will give a new perspective to living a well appointed life.  Stay tuned for her blog posts, bookmark our blog if you haven’t already and feel free to *leave comments* to welcome her!
