Anyone can have a blog (and most everyone does) but what it takes to have exceptional editorial content and a unique point of view to set yours apart, makes The Coveteur one of the best sites out there. Founded by Erin Kleinberg and Stephanie Mark this year, the site takes you into the closets of fashion insiders. Their masterful photography and clever staging allows us peeping-toms a chance to trespass into the lives of the chic-set in Manhattan and LA. The fashion is undeniably stellar but it is often the interiors that end up stealing the show.
Girl about town Nicky Hilton has the decor and accessories to match her surname. I am loving the blend of art-deco and retro glam illustrated in her lacquered, leather and shiny pieces. The Hermes cuffs and Chanel dudes simply add to the modern-luxe aesthetic.
One of my favorite aspects of The Coveteur is how the girls bring you people you know and love (Leandra Medine, Jane Kelter deValle, etc) and introduce you to some other fashion industry elite you may not be as well aquatinted with. This is the case with Merrit Elliot, one half of the label Current/Elliot, which made wearing your boyfriend’s jeans the ultimate fashion statement.
The Well Appointed House has an incredible offering of candlesticks ranging from uber traditional to more modern. Elliot does a great job of mixing the two, creating an eclectic yet refined space. Not hard for a woman who created flattering yet baggy jeans.
It was hard not pick every photo from Suzanne Roger’s Toronto home. Her closet and collection of clothing was like looking through pictures of a modern day Versailes, which it very well might be since the palace was one of her inspirations. Shop The Well Appointed House‘s diverse offering of candlesticks here.
Ornate and edging on over the top, Rogers makes it work. Her hand painted furniture, flowing drapes and gilded mirrors coordinated perfectly with her array of Chanel, McQueen and Hermes. Get the look here:
