It’s been a busy past two weeks, since our last post! I hosted Thanksgiving in Greenwich for my family and various extended family members. My three kids and I enjoyed baking pumpkin pies, cranberry squares (a favorite breakfast bread my family loves to make) and other treats. We had a 25lb turkey this year (ordered from Aux Delices in Greenwich) and of course, all of the “fixings”! That included creamy mashed potatoes, butternut squash, sweet potato soufflé, collard greens, stuffing, cornbread, cranberry sauce and a family mold that my Grandmother used to make. (It has cranberry, pineapple, jello and nuts – it’s green and somehow tastes delicious!). We had pumpkin, apple and blueberry pies this year. If you can believe it, we are still eating leftovers! Here are a few photos I snapped with my iPhone! It’s fun to mix up the flowers from year to year and this year I did shades of orange and yellows (arrangement from McArdles in Greenwich) – which was a first for me! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Photos Copyright The Well Appointed House.
