House Tour: Taylor Swift’s NYC Penthouse!

Since March 2014, Taylor Swift has been living in a fabulous Tribeca penthouse, hosting famous besties like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, and the like. Purchased from Lord of the Rings Director, Peter Jackson, Taylor’s bachelorette pad cost her $19.95 Million, and she even purchased the loft next door to house her security team. “Taybeca” is over 8,400 square feet large, including a 4,000 square foot terrace. Top it off with 12-foot high beamed ceilings, fireplaces, exposed brick, and wide planked wood floors and we are in heaven. Aren’t you curious to see where this superstar and her famous clique hang? We are!

Taylor’s Franklin Street pad is located in a 10-unit luxury building in Tribeca.

We are in love with the wide plank wood floors, Carrara marble countertops, and sleek stainless steel appliances in Swift’s urban kitchen. It makes sense Taylor would have such a spacious kitchen, as one of her favorite hobbies is baking.

Apparently, she makes a mean Chai Sugar Cookie. “The quick and easy way is to make sugar cookies from a sugar cookie mix and just cut open a packet of chai tea and pour it into the batter as you make it. Cause you’re busy and you want making cookies to be a chill part of your day,” says Swift.

The wood paneling, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, and warm tones give this living room a cozy vibe.

If you look beyond the celebs in this photo, you will see noteworthy decor such as unique paintings, sporty number lights, and a guitar case…so Taylor!  If you like the lit up numbers in the background (kind of like you see her fans carrying at her concerts!  Check out these Red Lighted Carousel Letters at our sister site, The Well Appointed House.

Consistent with the rest of the home, Taylor’s dining room incorporates exposed brick and vintage light fixtures. This classy room adds to the elegant yet comfortable feel that this penthouse has to offer.

Swift’s Great Room features globe chandelier pendants, exposed bricks, wood posts, and vaulted ceilings. It’s no wonder Swift is always entertaining…we’d love to hang out in this cozy room overlooking the streets of Tribeca! (We spy the Restoration Hardware Victorian Hotel pendants hanging in there!)

Grand Antique Staircase:

This grand staircase might look like it’s from an old beautiful home in Connecticut, but in fact this is a rare NYC apartment staircase in Taylor Swift’s home! The antique wood and light fixtures are amazing.

Guest Bedroom:

We had a little trouble finding a picture of Taylor’s bedroom, but we pulled this photo taken by her bud, actress Jaimie King in one of the guest rooms. This Instagram pic gives us a little peek at the exposed brick and wrought iron headboard in this bedroom.

This room is perfectly industrial yet traditional. A gorgeous grand piano, white bookshelves, and classic city views are pretty much interior design gold.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor said “Here’s my pool table that always has cat hair on it,”. We like the well-styled bookshelves, corner floor lamp, painted brick, and classic pool table in this laid-back room.

Can I just say, “WOW”. I love Taylor Swift’s home, and the style she puts into it. Right now I am looking for a home. I want it to have the same type of feel and having exposed bricks as well. I will have to find a good a good real estate agent to help me accomplish this big task.
