Now that winter is in full swing, the time is right for a little snowy getaway to your respective winter vacay spots. For those of us lucky enough to have a ski home of our own, it’s always fun to spruce up these little chalets with some fresh lodge decor! Here are 5 tips for decorating the winter vacation home. Enjoy!
1. Prioritize the Fireplace
In a ski lodge living room, the fireplace should always be front and center. Put the TV in a cabinet or on a side wall, and organize your furniture to make the fireplace your focal point. Play up the fireplace by adding chic decor to the mantle.Rejoy Interiors
2. Texturize
Add dimension with wintery textures, such as faux fur, natural wood pieces, and leather.

3. Unique Wall Decor
Instead of just decorating with typical wall art, repurpose old skis and other winter items to give the home a more rustic and authentic feel.

4. Antlers Everywhere.
A long-standing staple in cabins, antlers are a fabulous way to add chic appeal to your ski chalet.
5. Logs are In
We have been really into the idea of using logs as a decor element in ski chalets as of late. Dedicate an open-faced cabinet to stacking logs, or arrange them neatly in a fabulous basket. This creates a warm vibe in the room, and is also very convenient for impromptu cozy nights by the fire! Just add hot chocolate.
6. Add a Touch of Glamour
While the typical feel of a ski lodge is rustic and comfortable, that does not mean it can’t be a little glamorous too! Add a touch of glitz with a fabulous chandelier or ornate objects.
